Project Reflection, global warming

The purpose of this project was to learn about moral courage and global warming in our case. My group and I decided our topic would be global warming. Some other people in our group disagreed but all in all we decided together. We all knew that global warming was a very controversial subject, but we wanted to help people, so we kept with our original plans. All the kids chose a subject that had to do with moral courage. Moral courage is standing up for whats write even when its not popular. We choose global warming because many people have different views on global warming. Some People think its real and others do not. I personally think its really real.

WHAT I LEARNED

In this project, I learned how to work in a big group to get things accomplished. My subject was animals affected. Soon our world will look like something from a science fiction move. 30% of the world species will be extinct and the temperature rises 4.5 degrees. That is not that much more than it is today. This shows you how much global warming is really affecting our planet. But, global warming is affecting polar bears the most because they can't live in water like the other arctic animals. Polar bears spend most of their lives alone just hunting and sleeping, and the only time they see other bears is to mate and that's it. Polar bears are now dying because they have no where to live because of global warming. Global warming is melting the ice caps and making the arctic into a ocean with no ice for the animals to live on. Polar bears swim hundreds of miles just to get to land. And when they finally get there, they are so tired they die of starvation because they are so week and hungry. Polar bears are becoming extinct because of humans, because we are causing global warming which is triggering a series of events that may soon kill everything in our world that we have tried so hard to make.

REFLECTION
I didn't necessarily love this project. I always love working in groups so it wasn't that bad
. I think it was too long. We had a lot of time to work on our project but i think it was to much stress and to much time. I liked this project, it was fun learning about global warming.
